Transportation is provided according to NYC Public Schools eligibility guidelines.

  • Breakfast (daily): 7:40am to 8:00am
  • Classes are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 2:20pm
  • Afterschool Program 2:20pm to 5:30pm
  • Cutting-edge $2M Verizon 3D Printer Design Lab
  • 50/50 Spanish Dual Language in ELA and Math (all grades)
  • Advisory and mentorship for all students
  • Technology for all students (iPad/Chromebooks)

Soundview Academy for Culture & Scholarship welcomes families seeking a supportive, engaging middle school experience for grades 6–8. Our admissions process is designed to be clear and accessible, helping families learn more about our programs, values, and community. Below you’ll find important dates, resources, and next steps to guide you through applying to Soundview Academy.

Families can apply to join Soundview Academy for Grades 6–8 using NYC DOE’s MySchools application system.

Order Dress Code Items (2026-2027)

At Soundview Academy, we believe our dress code builds school pride, creates a sense of belonging, and helps scholars stay focused on learning. Wearing the SVA dress code demonstrates respect for our school community and prepares scholars for success.

Scholars are expected to Dress for Success Every Day! Students may wear any of the following with the official Soundview Academy Logo:

Daily Dress Code in Black/Sand:

  • Soundview Academy T-shirt
  • Polo shirt or button-down shirt
  • Long-sleeve shirt
  • Sweater or sweatshirt
  • Black pants or black skirt

Gym Dress Code in Black/Sand (on designated gym days only):

  • Soundview Academy Gym T-shirt
  • Black sweatpants or athletic pants
  • Sneakers

All tops must be black or sand and display the official Soundview Academy logo.Bottoms must be black. Leggings, ripped clothing, Crocs, slides, shorts and skirts above the knee are not permitted. Black bottoms are required.

Purchase Dress Code Items: Families can place their orders directly at the Soundview Academy Main Office starting August 4th.
